Tada! Thanks again to everyone who reblogged the WIP and suggested what colors to use! Honestly, I’m very proud of how this came out, though I do wonder if there’s something else I should do with it. But for now, I consider it done. Can you tell I’m also part of “Team Still Not Over Episode 9″?

Mega man and teleporting

Is teleporting a non-diegetic element in the classic and X series of Mega man games?

Rock, X and many other characters often enter or exit a scene through teleportation. However, many methods of transportation seem redundant when such technology is possible, such as Rush’s jet mode, Auto’s transport from Mega man 7, Roll’s car from Mega man 8, Land Chasers, the escape shuttle from the end of Mega Man X4 and any other form of transportation. What’s to stop a Maverick from teleporting away from battle?

It occurs to me teleporting is only something you actually see IN gameplay moments. You never see teleporting in cutscenes, in animations, in manga adaptations, and so on. Obviously they wouldn’t do this because it would be BORING in a story-driven medium, but their overall structure doesn’t really support they idea they could do it either.

Teleportation is never something strongly addressed in-story either. The writing never accounts for the possibility of teleportation, and most of the time it’s presented as something doing as nothing more than a way to remove the character more creatively than just having them jump away. It’s more suspect in some scenes than others, particularly Duo teleporting away in the final battle of Mega Man 8, something he was never seen doing anywhere else as opposed to comet-blasting away.

There are exceptions to this, such as the teleportation system visually seen in Mega man X Command Mission. This however is an external device teleporting the subjects, not a teleportation system installed within the characters themselves. I could easily believe this; making teleportation device-dependent would make more sense than being able to do it at will.

So you find that ship to be more fun then sorato?

To recap the previous case, Jun and Yamato together is fun.

Historically, there was zero instances of Sora and Yamato actually liking each other, even as just friends. They had little to no interaction beyond the display they were both miserable people and wound up in the darkness cave deal, even after that it wasn’t implied to be something special.

After that and even after 02, there were no open instances of any sort of chemistry between the characters beyond the fact both of them had a tendency to slink back into depression, and depression does not make for a healthy relationship. There are no parts of the character’s personalities that would either clash or compliment each other to make for an interesting relationship beyond “they’re together because I say they are.“ as Kakudou likely reasoned it. The sum of it is “there were no signs they liked each other” under the rule of Show-don’t-tell, and “they’re not interesting as a couple”, both of which are a large problem for characters in a TV show.

So it doesn’t make sense and it’s very boring.

Why do you ship matt with jun from digimon 02?

Because it’s funny. Obviously Jun’s over-enthusiasm is not something Yamato would be easily able to handle, and she’s one to reach esctasy from him so much as putting a hand on her shoulder. It’s fun to watch any sort of interaction between them, genuine affection or not.

A remake and a touchup from the last $10 sketch stream

There’s really no way to say “I can’t stand it if the buyer isn’t satisfied with the results“ without sounding pretentiously high and mighty, but it’s just the case.

Quiplash has got to be one of the worst things to ever happen to Picarto streams.

It’s okay if you and some friends want to play a little game together, but most people are coming to your stream to see the art they enjoy, not spend hours playing a boardgame.

some of last night’s stream results

An 11 hour stream, god damn.

Over at Pixiv

Originally I wasn’t going to $10 sketch stream this Saturday, however an unexpected expense from this morning means I more or less have to in order to recoup my losses, so Saturday at 7pm EST, the usual.

What are your digimon doujinshi's about? Have you tried finding a taiora dounjinshi?

The one with Sora and Miyako on the cover is a two story hentai doujinshi, the first being Taiora and the second being Daiyako. The one with Koushiro on the cover is a non-hentai Koumi doujinshi, the one with the Adventure children is an Adventure and 02 short story compilation I attained through knowing one of the artists involved with it.

Taiora doujinshi is tough to come across, but there’s some here and there.

If you don't mind me asking what digimon doujinshi do you have? And what crest tags did you get?

I have a habit of randomly browsing eBay, in case I find a gem the internet can’t provide.
